ISOFIX is a system to mount child seats on the rear seats of a car - instead of using the safety belt to fix the seat, it is pushed into two fixtures. It is easier to do correctly, and therefore safer. The ISOFIX fixtures are on the rear seats from model year 2000.

Even though ISOFIX is a standard, each chair has to be approved to the car. For Espace, however, there are several on the market - including this Römer Duo.
